Tom Battersby

Tom joined Acclaro in late 2024, following a decade in M&A advisory at a global investment bank. During this period, he worked with a range of clients seeking to grow through M&A or realize the value of their own companies through corporate sales, private equity, and IPO, with valuations spanning $10m to over $1bn.

While his role as our Head of M&A isn’t a linguistic one, Tom has a soft spot for languages, having been an Erasmus student many years ago, during which he spent a year studying in Bordeaux and making connections locally and with people worldwide.

Being able to leverage the technical skills built over the years in the context of M&A and applying them within a business operating in a field that he finds personally interesting is a particularly motivating factor for him.

Beyond work, much of Tom’s spare time is spent keeping his two young children entertained. When he does get a chance, he loves to play football (the English version!) and follow his childhood team, Blackburn Rovers.
