Michael Schermuly

Based in Woodley, UK, Michael Schermuly is Acclaro’s Vice President of IT, bringing over two decades of experience in IT infrastructure, service delivery, compliance, and information security. Starting his career many years ago as an IT Support Engineer at CST, Michael has since held key roles at SDL, CPM, and Jonckers, where he led a number of transformative IT initiatives. 

Throughout his career, Michael has successfully managed large-scale office relocations, implemented cutting-edge meeting technologies, and guided organizations toward achieving ISO:27001 certification—significantly enhancing security protocols. At Acclaro, his expertise continues to drive innovation and professionalize IT service delivery to support global operations.

Michael enjoys a range of activities outside of work, from taking his son to football matches and Greek school to staying active with gym workouts, cycling, and swimming. Born in Zimbabwe to a Brazilian mother and a Zimbabwean father, with a Greek wife and two English sons, Michael’s diverse background is fitting for a global localization company—despite his self-professed lack of language skills beyond English!
