Hi, I am Marlon Ramirez, and I’m based in Colombia. As I embark on this exciting journey with my new role as an IT Helpdesk Engineer, I wanted to share a bit about my responsibilities, passions, and the unique qualities that I bring to the table.

My role and responsibilities

As an IT Helpdesk Engineer, I handle initial troubleshooting for hardware and software issues. I also provide first—and second-line support and manage user accounts in our Microsoft 365 environment and other platforms to ensure smooth access and security.

What excites me most about this position

What truly excites me about this position is the opportunity to learn and grow alongside a talented team. I am eager to explore new tools and technologies and dive into the unique aspects of our industry. This position offers a chance to expand my knowledge and be a part of something larger.

A little-known fact about me is that I’m ambidextrous. Whether it’s typing, writing, or tackling tasks, I have the flexibility to use both hands, which comes in handy more often than you’d think!

I’m passionate about learning various IT-related topics and constantly expanding my knowledge. Whether it’s diving into cybersecurity, exploring new software, or understanding the latest hardware innovations, I’m always eager to learn.

When it comes to entertainment, I’m a big fan of “The Big Bang Theory,” which I’ve watched twice. I also love re-watching “The Godfather” movies. The intricate stories and compelling characters never fail to captivate me.

The best advice I’ve ever received is to always stay open to new experiences and perspectives and to never stop learning and growing. This mindset has guided me through my career and personal life, allowing me to embrace change and continually develop.
