Candace Smith celebrates 15 years with Acclaro!

Acclaro’s Sales Operations Manager, Candace Smith, celebrates her 15th work anniversary with the company this month. This exciting milestone is proof of Candace’s impact on the success of our sales department and as a valued member of our team.

“I really enjoy working at Acclaro and am grateful to have landed here,” Candace said. “I have been challenged, learned a lot and have grown professionally as the company has grown. I look forward to the next 15 years!”

After earning her master’s degree in Spanish translation from Rutgers University, Candace entered the localization industry as a project coordinator, and later, a PM group manager. She joined Acclaro in 2006 as program manager working closely with the presales and operations teams, and became presales manager in 2009. Her talent for strategic planning combined with rigorous evaluation techniques won her a promotion to sales operations manager in 2016.

As sales operations manager, Candace oversees the presales team, tracking sales metrics, managing contract reviews, and responding to security and privacy questionnaires. Her eye for detail sets a strong foundation for every localization project that comes to Acclaro.

Candace also credits her colleagues for her success, adding, “I have the best team and co-workers who have helped me keep my sanity amid the pandemic.”

When she’s not busy establishing new client relationships, she enjoys cooking (when motivated!), taking long walks with her dog and playing games with her two daughters.
