Description:
The Solutions architect plays a critical role in understanding stakeholder objectives and challenges, with the goal of developing, implementing, and refining modern localization programs powered by advanced technology. This role demands a deep understanding of the translation technology landscape, including AI options, translation management systems (TMS), machine translation (MT) engines, automated QA technology, and API integrations. The Solutions Architect is key to designing automated workflows and driving technical implementations that integrate AI, MT, API, and other technical elements into Acclaro’s localization solutions.
Solutions architects are part of a team that engages with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, offering consultative solutions that align with Acclaro’s corporate goals. Your role will help streamline complex localization programs and ensure the delivery of scalable, efficient, and innovative solutions. You will stay at the forefront of the localization industry, continuously exploring emerging technologies to improve Acclaro’s services.

Reports to: VP, solutions & onboarding
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop streamlined, scalable, and effective solutions to meet both client needs and Acclaro’s strategic goals.
- Lead meetings and communications with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze challenges, and deliver tailored solutions.
- Provide expert-level consultation to clients on localization technology and solutions.
- Communicate key technical information to the operations team to assist with client onboarding and project implementations.
- Stay informed on the latest advancements in localization technology, with a focus on CAT tools, TMS, and AI solutions.
- Evaluate and improve localization workflows, delivery models, tools, and technologies for existing accounts.
- Mentor and guide operations team members to foster efficiency, innovation, and continuous improvement in production solutions.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a Solutions Architect or Technical Consultant role focused on solution design and implementation.
- 2+ years of experience in the localization industry.
- University Degree in related field or equivalent military or professional experience.
- Expert-level knowledge of at least one of the following tools: Phrase, Lokalise, MemoQ, Transifex, XTM, or Crowdin.
- Experience driving initiatives with development teams, including managing feature requests, bugs, and new development.
- Strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of distilling complex technical concepts for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Extensive experience with localization technology, tooling, workflows, and industry standards.
- A passion for staying current with industry trends and new tools, processes, and concepts.
- Familiarity with writing, running, and testing basic scripts.
- Comfortable researching and communicating API requirements.
Desirable:
- Experience with translation business management software such as Plunet.
- Knowledge of content management systems (CMS) and their localization frameworks, including WordPress (WPML), Drupal (TMGMT), Contentful, Craft, Sitecore, AEM, etc.
- Experience with CMS integrations and workflows for localizing content.
- Experience working at a remote-first, globally distributed company.
