Acclaro was happy to sponsor Game Global’s first-ever virtual summit earlier this month. The event, which brings together leaders from the video game globalization industry, was scheduled to take place in Berlin but was moved online in light of current events.
Game Global Digital Summit was launched in 2018 by LocWorld founders, Donna Parrish and Ulrich Henes, and has become one of the leading events centered around video game localization, localization testing and functional testing. In addition to helming a virtual exhibitor in the Whova event app, the Acclaro team took part in two days of panel discussions, live webinars and networking.
This year’s event featured lively conversations led by some of the biggest brands, including EA, King, Ubisoft, and Sony Interactive Entertainment. Attendees from around the world discovered and discussed the latest industry trends involving localization and QA, the evolution of machine translation and UX writing.
“I found it interesting how difficult it is to evangelize internally and combine localization with UX writing for a good final product,” said Javi Diaz, global brand champion for Acclaro, after participating in the session, “What If Localization and UX Writing Were Part of the Same Team?”
As always, it was great to connect with the global gaming community. and Acclaro looks forward to staying in touch throughout the year!
